We are seeking a highly skilled, compassionate Pediatric Medical Assistant to join our team at Well Rooted Pediatrics—a holistic, functional, and integrative pediatric practice. .Responsibilities:
- Welcome and room pediatric patients with compassion and patience
- Prepare for the patient visit, including prepping chart, as well as setting up medical equipment
- Obtain accurate vital signs, update medical history and assist providers
- Perform basic laboratory test including capillary and venipunctures
- Administer medications, injections and vaccinations as directed by the nurse practitioner
- Ear piercing
- Manage medical supplies inventory, organize supplies and keep supplies clean
- Minor cleaning of clinic daily
- Provide parent education and comfort measures to ensure a positive experience
- Collaborate closely with the medical team to support smooth patient flow and exceptional care
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA),Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) or Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) is required
- Pediatric or Family practice experience strongly preferred
- Interest in holistic, functional, integrative medicine
- Phlebotomy experience desired
- Excellent communication skills, including verbal and written, organization and multitasking skills
- Proficient in electronic medical records software, Elation EHR is preferred
- Strong attention to detail in maintaining accurate patient records

Compensation: $18.00 - $19.50 per hour
